Handprint Art

We are learning about the calendar in Maths and decided to integrate the curriculum and PAINT the seasons! We used our handprint to make a cherry blossom tree, the same ones we see outside the library, and used our fingers to paint the seasons...

Summer - green bushy tree

Autumn - falling red, orange and gold coloured leaves

Winter - no leaves

Spring - pretty pink cherry blossoms

Milk for Schools

We get free milk!

Every Tuesday and Thursday Year 2 to Year 8s get fresh chilled milk from Fonterra. Most of Room 14 have milk and look forward to it. 

We watched a video on how to fold the cartons correctly before we recycle them.

'brain break', enjoying the milk and folding them correctly.

We looked at cicada shells through a magnified glass. We also viewed some video clips and learnt all about them. After we sketched them, there was a lot of discussion then we wrote about them.
